            In 1996 the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed that 7th december to be the international "civil aviation day".Aviation is a dynamic  profession.The rate of obsolence of equipment is high and new air craft have to be place  in inventory periodically in oredr to stay  abreast  of the requirements of  modern war.

             International  Civil  Aviation  Day 2018 is a United Nations (UN) annual observation day, officially declared by the UN in 1996 and celebrated on December 7th every year by all the member states of the UN.
 The day has been celebrated by the International Civil Aviation Org (UN body) since 1994, the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Convention on International Civil Aviation  which was established in 1994 to establish Co-operation and uniformity in Aviation Internationally. The purpose of the day is to recognize the importance of aviation, especially International Air travel, to the social and economic development of the world.
         The purpose of International Civil Aviation Day is to help generate and reinforce worldwide awareness of the importance of international civil aviation to the social and economic development of States, and of the unique role of ICAO in helping States to cooperate and realize a truly global rapid transit network at the service of all mankind.
      
 The campaign highlights ICAO’s efforts to assist States in implementing ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices.
The main goal of this work is to help ensure that Standards and Recommended Practices implementation is better harmonized globally so that all States have access to the significant socio-economic benefits of safe an reliable air transport and can address safety, security and emissions - related issues.

             Indian  navy  is  a  branch  of  Indian armed  forces. It  is  Indian's  primary instrument  of  sea  power. President  of  India is  the  supreme  commander  of  Indian  navy.   INDIAN   NATIONAL   FLAG          The Indian National flag repr- esents the hopes and Aspirations of the people of India. It is the symbol of our National pride and one of the most respected symbols over the last seven decades. Millions of people including members of Armed forces have laid down their lives to keep the Tri colour flag flying in to its full glory.                 The present flag of india is the most tangible and potent symbol of freedom. It was adopted in its present form during the meeting of constituent assembly held on 22nd June,1947. It was a Tri colour flag of deep   Saffron   at top,  white   in the middle and dark   Green   at the bottom in equal proportions. In the centre of the middle white strip, a navy blue wheel is present, which represents   Ashoka's Dharma chakra   which depicted the 'Wheel of Law' in the  Sarnath Lion capital   made by 3rd century BC Mauryan Emperor Ashoka.
